NH Meth is short for New Hope Methodist and that's a narrative detour that can be saved for another time. It's also a trio, one that began in late December last year. NH Meth comprises Paige Flash (Laundryroom Squelchers, Cult of Youth, Cock ESP) , Vy (aka Lurch X from To Live and Shave in L.A., aka Uroceras Gigas from Guttersnipe), and Tom Smith (TLASILA, OHNE, Pussy Galore, many other projects). Their new release on KSV is titled "These Are Our Confessions." Technically, it's NH Meth's second release, but their ostensible debut, "Unknown Gen," forthcoming on Independent Woman, is still being fine-tuned. So, enjoy the contra-sequential pummeling. Both tracks clock in at more than ten minutes' length and feature Paige on bass and field recording and Vy on vocals and "blue box." Tom mixed the elements live and also played the device (a black box) with which he's become increasingly identified.
